BJJ Gi allows you to use your opponents’ Gi – a traditional martial arts garb – against them, as you can grab your opponent by their Gi or even use their Gi to choke them.

The Gracie family, the founders of BJJ, combined the most effective elements of judo and traditional jujitsu and modified the art by emphasizing timing, efficiency and technique – these modifications gave birth to what is now known as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The Gracie’s were so confident in BJJ that they had would have open challenge matches against other martial artists who had mastered their disciplines in real combat. The hundreds of challenges fights showed that the outcome was the same – BJJ was clearly superior and more effective than other age-old martial arts.
